Description
Steve, who writes the Great Outdoors column for The Day and is author/editor of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Best Day Hikes in Connecticut & Rhode Island, will talk about his favorite trails in the region and beyond. He has scaled all 67 New England 4,000-footers with his son, Tom, as well as climbed in the Himalayas, Andes and Alps.
Steve Fagin, whose award-winning Great Outdoors column appears Fridays in The Day newspaper, is author/editor of the books Treasures of Southeastern Connecticut, and AMC’s Best Day Hikes in Connecticut & Rhode Island. In addition to serving as book editor of Appalachia, published by The Appalachian Mountain Club, he has written for many other publications, including The New York Times and Runner’s World magazine. Steve has scaled all 67 New England 4,000-footers with his son, Tom, and climbed in the Himalayas, Andes and Alps. In addition to hiking, Steve is an avid kayaker, having paddled most of the major lakes and rivers in the Northeast, along with much of the shoreline. He lives in Ledyard, CT, with his wife, author Lisa Hall Brownell.
